My Prayer of Thanksgiving

Dear Lord and Saviour,

Praise be to your name.  May I be able to complete your will here on this earth, right now.  With every action, every thought, every feeling, I pray it be to your glory. 

I thank You for the many blessing in my life and ask you help me see them as blessings and gifts from You, not as earnings. 

I thank You for my family.  My Wife, Son, and Daughter.  I pray for your help in leading them to You.  I know their salvation in not in my control, but as that I have the strength to show them Your love and mercy.  I pray that I am able to be the Husband and Father You want me to be.

I thank you for my work.  I ask for the ability to see the value in my work.  I ask for You to guide me at the office and give me the strength to be an example for You.

I thank You for Your Church, Your Bride.  I pray for the wisdom to work with her, and the humility to correct Her.

I thank You for my Brothers and Sister all over the world.  May you give us the ability to see the larger family and build a community of believers that support each other.

I thank You for Your Word, the Bible.  I ask for the wisdom to understand, and the discipline to study.  Please remove my glasses of doubt, pride and anger so I can see what You want me to see.

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever,

What I learned today

1)  Men like to talk, a lot.  Even the quiet ones.  Especially about themselves.

2)  I bought my son a $9.00 tractor today.  He was so happy with it he took it to bed with him and when Mom sat down on his bed to say good night, he told her to be "very careful".  Lots of money does not equal value.  Value is personal.

3)  I like to talk a lot.  Especially about myself.

4)  I need to start a prayer/worship group at my office.  (interested John?)

5)  Having family around is a blessing.

6)  Having a real fireplace is a blessing on a cold, wet, windy day.

7)  Books are better the TV

8)  Movies are better then TV

9)  At the center of the Gospel is the cross.

10)  At the center of the cross is Love.

11)  I need more love.

12)  Having KFC chicken and McDonalds french french fries for dinner is not a good thing.
